If there is one thing that Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) can’t stand in EastEnders, it’s seeing ex-wife Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) happy with girlfriend Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).
In upcoming scenes, he takes drastic action to try and tear them apart – but will he succeed?
When Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) asks Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) for some money, Nish is quick to step in with a generous gift, in return for her helping him track down an old acquaintance.
Later, Suki meets son Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) for lunch at Walford East to discuss their plans for Nish, but are stopped in their tracks when he interrupts them, with a surprise guest in tow.
Suki is stunned to realise that it is Ayesha – the woman who’s husband Nish killed over 20 years ago.
Nish killed the man, Hardeep, because he believed that he had been having an affair with Suki. However, it later transpired that it was actually Ayesha that Suki had been interested in.
However, the reunion between the two women isn’t without drama, as Ayesha wastes no time in riling at Nish for his crime, before fleeing.
Suki doesn’t let her get far though, and the pair soon head back to No.41 for an important conversation.
Later, when Ayesha joins Suki and Eve in the Queen Vic for a drink, Nish sees an opportunity to meddle in their relationship, and he wastes no time in planting a seed of doubt in Eve’s mind over Suki and Ayesha’s closeness.
With Nish’s words playing at the back of her mind, Eve grows frustrated the next day when Suki continuously praises Ayesha, but after a discussion she soon softens.
However, she is still left with some niggling doubts, and decides to confide in Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), who reasons that Nish is just manipulating the situation.
When Eve later runs into him the cafe and the pair have a confrontation, she makes a huge decision before heading over to the Vic.
There, she proposes to Suki in front of Ayesha, Stacey and the rest of the Panesars.
How will Suki react to her sudden proposal?
