Former EastEnders star Bonnie Langford is all set to return to the BBC One soap. The actress, who appeared in Walford from 2015 to 2014, has dropped hints about her comeback. Ahead of the show’s 40th anniversary celebrations next year, Langford, better known as Carmel Kazemi, spoke to the Radio Times. She said, “Anything can happen, and this is the whole beauty of storytelling.

Is Carmel Coming Back?

You can tell whatever story you like, and I would be delighted to, and I’ve got loads of friends there now as well. ‘I’d love to go and see… I would never put a kibosh on anything, because I think anything is possible. Fans will be really excited to see Carmel back in action. As for her stint on the show, long-time viewers know that Carmel lived on Albert Square with her sons Kush and Shakil. But, soon moved to Dubai after Shakil was stabbed to death in a tragic murder storyline. After her departure, her older son Kush was also killed by an oncoming train by serial killer Gray Atkins. Even though she lost both her sons, Carmel actress said that there is still a chance as to why Carmel might return.

While speaking to Radio Times, Bonnie said, “Carmel has got a grandson, Arthur, still there, and has a lot of history and a lot of friends. But you just don’t know, so you never say never!” Furthermore, the actress also revived her role in Doctor Who as Mel Bush.
