I, like many, was late to jump on the Yellowstone train. nothing to do with the train station by the way… I didn’t find it until they finished season 3, but once I did, I was completely hooked.

The drama, the action, even the laughs. Yellowstone was one of the greatest shows to ever be made. And the funny part is, it because huge without the support of a major TV network.

The show halted abruptly mid-season 5, and has yet to return. While there was a lot of finger-pointing and blame game reporting, it came down to the show’s star, Kevin Costner, who played the infamous Yellowstone Mob-like leader, John Dutton, wanting some time to work on other projects.

The original plan seemed to be that Kevin would take a bit of time away to work on his “Horizon” project, then come back to film the second half of season 5 to air in the fall of 2023. That never happened.

A combination of the John Dutton drama, and the writer’s strike in 2023, led to the longest show continuation delay in history, as we we still haven’t gotten the highly anticipated part two of season 5.

The show is finally set to return on Sunday, November 10th, with filming happening now. They’re getting ready to shoot a large concert scene featuring Lainey Wilson, and they’re accepting applications to cast extras for the scene. The show appears to be looking for talent from all over the country, but here’s the catch, you have to be in Fort Worth on September 3rd.

It would be awesome to have some local Colorado folks a part of this iconic television show. Here’s the post with info on how to apply…

Send a picture of yourself, first and last name, height and weight, shirt size, pant size, shoe size, and phone number, and let them know you’re loud and Colorado proud by emailing [email protected] with the subject line: Lainey Concert – age 18-39 or Lainey Concert – age 40+. And if you make it, let us know so we can follow your journey!

The last few episodes will be done without John Dutton, so it’ll be interesting to see how they pull that off, or how exactly they sadly kill him off in the time that the show was away. Maybe with his Horizon movie experiment not going his way, he makes a secret return to the show and surprises us all.. Money talks, especially when you lose a bunch investing in your own project.
