On August 25, Paramount Network’s Yellowstone dropped a sneak peek at Season 5, Part 2, which kicks off on November 10.
And from the looks of it, Rip has murder on his mind. He cocks his rifle and stalks into the Yellowstone’s main house like he’s just found out that Jamie is the reason that Beth can never have a child of her own.
“Generations of blood,” reads the tagline, “have led to this.” Also, five and a half seasons and a whole lotta bad blood, especially between the black sheep of the Dutton family, his embittered kid sister and the father who has undermined him time and time again. That is, when Jamie hasn’t been doing a good enough job of being his own worst enemy!
You’ll recall that in the Season 5, Part 1, finale, Beth and father John had agreed that it was time for Jamie to pay a visit to the train station.
Meanwhile, Jamie and girlfriend Sarah were conspiring to have an accident befall their nemeses from which they’d never recover.
Considering that Kevin Costner has been written out of the series’ final episodes, John might have already met his grim fate by the time Part 2 premieres. (Mind you, they’re not the only Yellowstone characters who could die.)
Though Yellowstone is coming to an end, a new spinoff is just getting started. Casting news is dropping day after day about offshoot The Madison, which stars erstwhile Catwoman Michelle Pfeiffer, Lost alum Matthew Fox and Suits vet Patrick J. Adams.
Still no word, though, as to whether Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes and Cole Hauser will be reprising their Yellowstone roles of Beth, Kayce and Rip.
